Andy chucky outfit1/2/2024 ![]() But of course that's all the entry Chucky needs to begin doing, well, Chucky things. Mancini wrote the TV adaptation and serves as showrunner for Chucky, which follows the chaos that ensues when a vintage Good Guy doll finds its way to an idyllic American town via - of all things - a suburban yard sale. Not that anyone needs a refresher, but Tilly is part of the old-school team behind SYFY/USA’s new Chucky series, which comes from a creative lineup led by original Child’s Play creator Mancini. Executive produced by Mancini, Harley Peyton, and fellow Child’s Play producing alum David Kirschner, the series also comes from EPs including Nick Antosca ( Channel Zero, Brand New Cherry Flavor) and Alex Hedlund ( Chilling Adventures of Sabrina). Teased by Cohen about how the ageless star stays put with prickly safety pins inside her suitably horror-inspired formalwear, Tilly came back with an answer so perfect it might as well have been Tiffany doing the talking: “I like painful fashion!” ![]() At first I didn’t like the young Tiffany character but she has grown on me.Tilly, though, pretty much brought a “bring it on” attitude to accessorize her Tiffany Valentine bling. But the humor is spot on, I love the Chucky parts and the Tiffany and Nica/Chucky parts. But their faces, their lips, make them look more like children, like 6th graders to me, and less like young adults. Or maybe the actors are supposed to be younger and look younger? I know they are in a middle school, now that I think of it. And I know that the original Child’s Play was with little Andy Barclay and that was difficult in some moments…I found the franchise more enjoyable the more that actual kids weren’t involved as it aged up. Idk, again, years of watching slashers with teens played by 20-somethings. Maybe it’s because I’m used to seeing teenagers played by 20-something year old adults but these kids, the boys in particular, just look so frail and vulnerable and younger than the ages they are supposed to be and it’s hard for me to enjoy the comedic/horror element when it appears that literal children are going through it. All in all, I don’t think they made good casting choices. The girl and Junior don’t have chemistry as a couple. Also, I don’t like the choices of casting. I feel like with more time and perhaps some re-writes there could have even a little more depth. It seems like it was written very quickly and gotten out there very quickly. Kyle and Andy- I like the dynamic duo and I like how they dont really agree all the time we see Andy go towards the dark side where he is trapped in his past while Kyle has already moved on from it, and Andy ditching Kyle to save her from possibly getting killed is such a strong and tough decision and the intro of them in episode 7 is just simply awesome. Nica - Nica is a fucking badass the fact that she even tried to fool Tiff is such a huge risk I`m excited to see her get her revenge on that damn doll Nica. ![]() We even see tiff go full on in love with Nica which scared the shit out of her. Tiffany- She is the perfect character to highlight the comedic aspect of the movie and seeing her interact with normal people is a new perspective because it actually highlights how f*cking insane and scary she is especially with Fiona Dourif`s amazing performance. YES, the OG`s didnt have much screen time but here`s what I can say already about them from episodes 5 6 and 7 ![]()
